Travis McCarthy has announced that his new single, and first from his forthcoming sophomore album, will be released at the end of this month. The track, "Tube Socks and Pipe Dreams," sets the mood for the project, which McCarthy says will be a lighter effort than his debut. His new single hits radio on March 25.
"I'm definitely keeping the edge with this new record, but there is going to be a lot of times where that edge will be softened. It's going to be a bit of a more accessible sound to radio than Doll Factory provided. I've been writing and working on songs for the past 6 months and I feel confident in the material."
Pro skater Tony Hawk will make a cameo appearance in the song's music video, which will be shot next week at a skate park, and will be out in April. His second studio album has no release date or title yet.
