Lights dim, crowd cheers, spotlight hits center stage
Emcee: Welcome to The Music Biz: DIVAS. Ladies and gentlemen: Nate Nash!
PERFORMANCE: Nate Nash, “Know My Name”
Emcee: Ladies and gentlemen, your host for this evening’s telecast: Nate Nash!
Nash: Thank you! Thank you for having me. I am so excited to be here tonight. Usually whenever there’s a lineup as big as the one we have tonight, we’re all sitting in the audience anxious to find out who won an award. Tonight, however, we’re here to celebrate the finest divas in the business. I will be your host for this evening’s festivities, and I’m honored to be sharing the stage with all of these incredible ladies. We have great performances, mega-star presenters, and some surprise guests tonight, so sit back and enjoy. Without further adieu, let’s get going with our very first diva of the night. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome a Country music superstar and a superstar of any format, period: Erica Posey!
PERFORMANCE: Erica Posey, “Wine After Whiskey”
Emcee: From Radioactive, please welcome Kevin Stockley.
Stockley: Y’know, it’s so refreshing to see rock represented anywhere, but by a female? That’s even greater. I have to say that I admire our next diva because of her “I don’t take [EXPLICIT] from anyone” kind of attitude. Her recent single, “Golden Lie”, became her first top 20 hit on Pop, and she shows no signs of slowing down. Here to perform “Cross My Heart”, Crystal Marx!
PERFORMANCE: Crystal Marx, “Cross My Heart”
Nash: I’m such a fan of all of the women in music. Before we move on, I’d just like to thank all of the women out there that have spent endless days killing it and making everything look so easy. Oh, and they have to do it in heels, too. All men are not worthy! Moving along, please welcome our next two presenters. One is the newest “American Idol” winner who currently has a top 10 Country hit, and another is a breakthrough Pop star who can be seen on tour across the globe this summer and fall; please welcome Jana Kramer and Kalea Prescovia!
Kramer: I have to say, Kalea, I’m so honored to be standing here with you and all of the women that are performing tonight. It’s so great to be in the presence of women who have helped pave the way for people like me.
Prescovia: You’re very sweet, Jana, thank you. I, too, am honored to be here, and I’m also very excited to present this next diva. She has become one of the biggest stars in music, period. Earlier this year, she killed the Superbowl halftime show. Now, she’s here to steal the hearts of the world once more. Ladies and gentlemen…
Prescovia & Kramer together: Anna Thomas!
