Robyn recently tweeted that she was in the studio and hard at work on her second album. She had a cancer scare that made her take some time off but has been inspired creatively from this. The album is due out later this year.

RS: We heard the album and a few things stuck out to us. It doesn't sound anything like your debut and the album doesn't have many radio friendly hits. Robyn: The thought of making radio friendly songs was what I set out to do, but the cancer scare really changed that. I really sought out to make a album that was a reflection of who I am right now and that's what I did. Everyone agrees on the singles right now, so that's good.
Rolling Stone: Tell us a little about your album. Robyn: Creating this album was hard. I began writing it in 2012 and recording it late that year. I had a cancer scare and took time off, when I returned to the studio I wasn't the same person. The entire record changed and it became a love album but also about self discovery in many ways.
RS: What will happen to the original songs you made for the album? Robyn: My 4 favorite are on the Deluxe Edition. The songs sound nothing like the album, in a way it's a little EP. The rest of the songs most likely will be B-sides.
RS: Will you be touring? Robyn: YES! I will be opening for Dannii Moore on her next leg, but I hope to do a solo tour late this year and next year.
